OUR COUNCIL Our Council was formed December 1, 1992 and is associated with St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Yardley, PA. Mission: Fr. McCafferty Council is dedicated to living out the principles of our order: Charity: We work to aid the poor, sick, and elderly through various fundraisers and outreach programs. Unity: We stand united as one voice with our Holy Father, Pope Francis, in defense of life in all stages, against oppression of the downtrodden, and for the family. Fraternity: We provide a support system for one another and our families. We grow together in friendship and faith as we work to live out our mission. Patriotism: We support our Armed Forces and our Veterans through several programs and are eternally grateful to those who have sacrificed for our freedom!

Programs: Our Council sponsors many events throughout the year. Our members are invited to an annual retreat. We have an annual Golf Outing which is our largest fundraiser. Our Pancake Breakfast is a crowd pleaser and a great chance for Knights, their friends, family and fellow parishioners to spend a fun time together. We organize many service projects that are opportunities for our members to roll up their sleeves and make a personal impact on their community. There are even events for the youth including a free throw contest in January.

Membership: To become a member, one must be a Catholic gentleman, in good standing, in communion with the Holy See and at least 18 years of age. Candidates must complete the Orders Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity in order to become a member.

Meetings: Our Council meets on fourth Thursday of every month in the St. Ignatius Parish Antioch Center. The General Membership meeting starts at 8:00, it is preceded by the Holy Rosary in our Parish Adoration Chapel. Light refreshments are served after the meeting with time to socialize. Our officers meet on the second Monday of each month at 8pm. Social events are not regularly schedules but are posted on the website, in the newsletter and announced at business meetings as they are planned. Knights of Columbus William C. Gibney Memorial Scholarship for High School Education

The Fr. James J. McCafferty Council No.11013 of Yardley, PA and St. Ignatius Parish is pleased to offer the William C. Gibney Memorial Scholarship for students to assist with the cost of high school tuition. Two awards of $1,000 each will be given in the name of the late William C. Gibney, who was a member of the Fr. James J. McCafferty Council No. 11013 and a 4th degree Sir Knight. He was a founding “Charter Member” and Officer of the Council. William was a man of many deep convictions and exemplified a life of commitment to the Knights of Columbus’ ideals of charity, faith, and service to others. He was a World War II U.S. Merchant Marine Officer, crossing the Atlantic several times during war times. He raised ten children as a member of St. Ignatius Parish. This scholarship has been established to honor and continue his legacy.
To qualify for the Scholarship, applicants must be a registered full-time student at a tuition-based high school or vocational school in the fall of 2023.
